***NEW CDC Guidance allows for masks to be optional on all “open air decks”***

Dear Passengers,

The CDC still requires masks to be worn on all public transit, including maritime transportation. This requirement is enforced by the United States Coast Guard. Until federal guidance changes, we must continue to require masks onboard. Despite recent developments in guidance from NYS and CDC, mask requirements remain in effect until further notice. All passengers will be REQUIRED to wear face coverings/masks in order to ride the ferry, as well as in the waiting areas. We cannot guarantee an environment that ensures adequate social distancing for the duration of your ferry ride. We request that passengers be respectful of one another’s space and practice social distancing when possible.

We will also continue to restrict freight at this time to allow for more room for passengers. Passengers are asked to bring only ONE shopping cart (NO garden carts) per FAMILY, or one “carry-on” sized bag per person (similar to airline rules, your “personal item” that can remain in your lap does not count towards this quota). Freight will be refused passage if space is not available. No lumber, building materials, or furniture will be accepted at this time unless prior arrangements have been made.

Thank you!
